Rocklin firefighters assist with Loomis blaze
Rocklin firefighters assist with a Loomis fire Sunday, helping The Loomis Fire Department put out a blaze in the Sierra Gateway Mobile Home Park in Loomis. A Loomis man, Darrel Bristol, is being called a hero after saving his neighbor from a fire that destroyed her home and caused two firefighters to be treated for heat exhaustion. According to Darrel Jones, captain of Loomis Fire Protection District, the home is a total loss. He said a Loomis firefighter was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, treated for heat exhaustion and released. A Rocklin firefighter was also treated at the scene for heat exhaustion. ~Joyia Emard
