JAN. 21

A Rocklin man told police that sometime overnight two pick-up trucks were allegedly burglarized at his home on Par Place. According to the police report, the 25-year-old victim told police unknown suspect(s) gained entry to his Dodge Ram pick up by breaking out the rear sliding window and then allegedly stealing the tools out of an unlocked tool box in another truck nearby. The theft is estimated at $5,940 worth of items, including audio equipment, tools and $1,500 in damages to the vehicle.

JAN. 20

A Rocklin woman called police after she noticed her vehicle had been vandalized during an alleged theft on Poppy Circle. According to the police report, the 36-year-old victim told police the catalytic converter was removed from under her Toyota 4Runner sometime between New Year’s day and Jan. 19. Police report a rash of such thefts around the first of the year. The damage is estimated at $1,000.

JAN. 18

Just after 9 p.m., a teenager called police to report his vehicle was vandalized in the parking lot outside the California Family Fitness on Sunset Boulevard. According to the police report, the 19-year-old victim noticed the windshield of his Honda Civic was shattered after he returned to the vehicle after working out at the fitness club. The damage is estimated at $400.

JAN. 14

A Rocklin man called police after he became suspicious of an unauthorized use of his personal ID. According to the police report, the 55-year-old man received a phone call from a representative of Dish Network who wanted to upgrade his satellite television service. The victim said he doesn’t have a satellite account. That’s when the representative allegedly told him his Social Security number and American Express card were used to open the account. The victim reportedly then closed the credit card account after discovering an errant $154 charge.
