Man arrested for theft spree at Sierra College
Rocklin Police arrested a Roseville man for allegedly burglarizing Sierra College students’ vehicles while they were in class. Anton Derevyanchuk, 21, was arrested after police spotted a suspicious man looking into vehicle windows during a stake out at one of the parking lots at Sierra College. Police said Derevyanchuk got into a black Scion and because of the observed activity, police pulled him over and discovered stolen items within his vehicle from burglaries that occurred over the last week. There were nine reported vehicle burglaries within the last week at Sierra College, police said. Rocklin Police suggest that all property be concealed in the vehicle to prevent theft. Derevyanchuk was arrested for burglary and possession of stolen property. ~ Staff report
