This photo was taken on August 17, 2008 as we traveled through the Southern Alps on the Tranz Alpine train in New Zealand. The train departs from the city of Christchurch and arrives in Greymouth in about four hours. If you so choose you can then take the train back to Christchurch. Definitely the most amazing train ride you'll ever take.
